Current research
My PhD is funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) and is in collaboration with Professor Ashu Sharma at the State University of New York at Buffalo. The project aims to clarify how glycobiology modulates host-pathogen interactions in the oral microbiome. There will be a particular focus on how Tannerella forsythia utilises and interact with sialic acids. This work will be supervised by Professor Graham Stafford and Professor Dan Lambert.
